A near full moon was rising into the sky while I was on the top of South Table Mountain outside of Golden, Colorado. I captured it right above the one of huge power line towers that cross the mesa.
Ullrgrass Volunteers Warming Up
A pair of UllrGrass Volunteers were warming up at one of the fire towers near the entry gate. There were several of these fire towers around the festival to warm the festivarians up on this chilly January evening. Volunteers help with the festival and get to enjoy the music and fun when they are off shift.
Clear Creek Flowing under Christmas Footbridge
Clear Creek was not completely frozen over during the holidays. Beautiful Christmas lights lined the footbridge and the creek flowed towards downtown Golden and to Coors Brewery beyond.

It is soothing to be down on Clear Creek at night during the holidays. The lights are beautiful and the sounds of the creek make a lovely chorus that helps folks forget about their concerns and focus on peace, family and friends.

Teig in the Snow after October Storm
An October snow storm came through Golden last night and we decided to take a jaunt on South Table Mountain for lunch and it was a great time and a good hike.
Flowers on the Yucca
The flowers on these Yucca Plant outside of golden colorado are so awesome. Many people don't like Yuccas but I don't understand why that is. I love when they bloom and are uber colorful.

Beautiful Music from the Violin
One of my favorite musicians playing at the UllrGrass festival in Golden Colorado. Sam Bush is one of the best mandolin and fiddle players in the world. He was playing on the outdoor stage at the festival during a cold midwinter 2019 night and was laughing and smiling all night. If you get a chance to see him and his band, you should check him out.
Golden then Denver from Mount Galbraith
A winter landscape view while hiking Mount Galbraith above Golden Colorado. The Denver skyline can be seen in the far distance. Mount Galbraith is one the most popular Jefferson County trails near Golden. Hundreds of hikers frequent it on the weekends. Best time to hit this trail is during the week.
Winter Scene at White Ranch
Winter in Golden Colorado is especially wonderful after a snowstorm. On this day I took a hike up to White Ranch above the valley and I found this group of frozen trees on my way to the summit. The light was nice even though it was later in the morning. A hike becomes super fun when you come across gems like this.
Resting on Green Mountain
Winter snow days on Green Mountain in Golden Colorado are the best. Teig loves hikes in the snow and bluebird days are especially fun for both of us. Can you see Tieg smiling? I definitely can!
Speed on the Trail Snow
Teig loves to run along the trail when we are exploring the Front Range in Colorado. He is running to me on Travois Trail on Centennial Cone near Golden. We spend many of our winter weekend days sauntering these trails.

Trails are snow packed on North Table Mountain much of the time in January. Teig loves the snow and cool conditions on a sunny day in the Front Range Mountains of Colorado. Not to many hikers and the crisp cool landscape is great for exploring!

A beautiful day hiking and exploring North Table Mountain outside of Golden Colorado. The view north to Boulder and the Flatirons was awesome with the snow covering much of the landscape. What a fantastic place to call home.

Patience is one of Teig’s greatest strengths. He spends an enormous amount of time on the trail waiting for me as I capture photographs of our adventures and the wonderful landscapes we travel across. He is here patiently waiting for me on North Table Mountain in the middle of January… calmly watching me as I was getting a panorama of the Front Range and Golden Colorado. I love him for that!

Teig and I love to hikes on South Table Mountain outside of Golden Colorado after work. The large mesa is a place close to metro Denver but has a quaint wilderness feel when out exploring near dark. Teig is shown here near one of the promontories on the north side of the open space.
Dahlias in Golden Colorado
These beautiful Dahlias were blooming in the garden containers along Washington Avenue in Golden Colorado. The city does a fantastic job with the flowers along the main street. Kudos to them for keeping Golden a beautiful place.
