Garden Faces

Touring around Canyon Road (Art District) in Santa Fe and being a photographer is like letting children walk around a candy shop and allowing them to taste the goodies. I had so much fun and learned so much from the artists that I met who discussed their art. People were so friendly and gracious. I took this image at one of the galleries and they owner brought out a bowl full of water for Teig. I love and miss New Mexico, my birth state!

2014 Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Fiesta

Spent an amazing 3 days in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the 2014 International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. This October event is so beautiful and welcoming. the skies are field with hot air balloons including some fantastic special shapes. I spent all 3 mornings grabbing coffee and breakfast burritos at 3:45 am and then got to shoot this spectacular event. I recommend this event to anyone. There is nothing like it in the world!

Pueblo Indian Graveyard

A Halloween spot you don't want to be at after dark. This is a graveyard of a small pueblo east of Albuquerque. A storm was moving in... it would be a chilling place to be tonight!

While touring the Denver's Lower Downtown (LODO), I was inspired by the beautiful images that were available from our metropolitan city. Here are a few of the images that fascinated me.

Saturday Night on Larimer Square

Downtown Denver is a fun place to explore on a beautiful Saturday night. Larimer square is a very interesting block of LODO. The lights make for wonderful nighttime images. They usually show video of this street when Sunday night football is in town.

Alone in the Airport

I was recently traveling and found myself alone at my airline gate. What does a photographer do when confronted with down time by himself... start shooting photographs. Here is an image from my "Down Time".

Smiling Louisiana Capital

I toured the Louisiana State Capital several times on my trip to Baton Rouge. I took this shot and wanted the building to smile at me. It was a fun shot and I think it works.

Looking Up in the Louisiana Bayou

While exploring the bayou west of Baton Rouge I became fascinated with the trees and how they looked as I went deeper into the swamps. Here is a small collection of images from my travels into the bayou.

Photographed Critters in the Atchafalaya Bayou of Louisiana

I was recently in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and got a chance to visit the Atchafalaya Basin. I got a couple good shots of the animals I encountered including numerous gators and spiders. My 6 mile hike took me deep into the backcountry and I never saw another soul. Gators were everywhere and could here them splashing into the green murky bayou just ahead me, my entire trip. Huge spider webs covered the trail and made it difficult to bypass them. All-in-all it was a fantastic hike.

These will periodically change over time. Right now I have a exhibition of a wide range of subjects and styles of my work. Come check it out.

Rocky Mountain Arsenal Wildlife Refuge

Toured the Rocky Mountain Arsenal Wildlife Refuge this morning. Photographed some great critters on this very warm day in Denver. The bison herd was not within distance, even with my 1000mm lens but got some other great shots. Here are a couple photographs.
